Easter, God is Good, Tomb, Resurrection, Luke 23:50-53; 24:1-5
Easter teaches us that when darkness seems to overwhelm us, it does not overwhelm God.  It teaches us that the oppressive systems of this world do not stand a chance against the God who created this world.  It teaches us that endings are never endings with the God who is never ending.  It teaches us that you can not nail God down – we tried that once and it did not work.  It teaches us that God is good – all the time... and all the time – God is good.

Easter, sunrise service, Mary, disciples, tomb, resurrection, new life, John 20:1-18
Easter is the story of new beginnings, the story of no more endings, the story of help, the story of hope, the story of new life. It cannot be nailed down to a tree. It cannot be sealed up in a tomb... and it cannot be known by wearing a cross around our necks. The Easter story can only be known by living it out, by trusting in God, by letting go of what once was and living into God's what will be.
