A message based on Acts 9:36-43

When will we stop doubting God?  When will we stop being surprised by God doing what God said God would do?  When will we stop living lives that doubt God’s word?  God said that those who follow his word will experience life everlasting – feed my sheep, take care of those in need.  God did not say that those who are “nice” or “good people” will know life everlasting – yet we test God believing that being “good” is “good enough” for God.  This story is a stark and vivid reminder…that it is not.  Who experienced resurrection?  A disciple named Tabitha who was “devoted to good work and acts of charity.”

A message based on John 21:1-19.

"We now carry the moniker of the 'post-resurrection community.'  The post-resurrection directions offered to Peter are now for us. “Feed my sheep…take care of my sheep.”  It was the first thing the post-resurrected Christ had to say about the mission of his post-resurrection community and it is tied to the last thing he had to say about that community, the Great Commission, “go out and make disciples of all nations.”
